Objective
Create a tracking and reporting process to:
- produce timely reports more accurately forecast sales by list segments: call center, web and mail.
Strategy
Daystar recommended key-coding by channel and importing data into ChanneLYST for reporting and tracking of results. ChanneLYST is Daystar’s proprietary online solution for matching response (in this case orders and sales) to mail files.
Execution
Daystar loaded mail files and orders into the ChanneLYST database and produced detailed, semi-monthly reports. With this automated reporting system, the client is now able to read results quickly and react to each upcoming mailing season.
Results
Our client now constantly refines its circulation strategy to mail deeper into profitable house and rental list segments, while also adjusting their selects and drops into unprofitable list segments. What did this mean to the bottom line? Our client grew catalog circulation last year by over 14% while maintaining profitability.
